Theodore Robinson is considered one of America's first Impressionists. He was born in Irasburg, Vermont and studied in New York at the National Academy of Design. He later moved to Paris where he met Claude Monet and become very good friends with the famous artist. He lived next door to him at Giverny, exchanging tips directly with Monet about the Impressionistic style. They both were also fond of painting landscapes. This is visible when comparing the two, but we can still see Robinson's unique touch of realism, making his paintings enchanting in their beauty!
